Cherry Magazine is a San Francisco-based publication that highlights those with underrepresented gender identities and sexualities within the world of arts and culture. Cherry is a place for people to showcase their work and represent themselves in a way that feels most natural and accurate to them. It’s a place for community, conversation, and growth.
Cherry Magazine captures the energy of a new generation’s culture and concept of gender and sexuality through written work, photos, and multimedia.

Kenzie Aellig is a print/online journalism major and women and gender studies minor at San Francisco State University. Through her work, she hopes to highlight stories of community and culture, including identities that haven’t been the traditional voices of news and media. She enjoys writing about the arts, reproductive justice, sexuality, and women and gender issues.
